Frequently asked questions
Is there a news feed?
No. No posts to scroll, no like counters. Serkle helps you organize and find your people, then see them for real.
Who can see my circle?
Only you. Your categories, your notes and where each person sits are never shown to anyone.
Does the person I add know?
If they're on Serkle, they see "[your first name] added you to their serkle", never where you placed them. If they're not, Serkle sends them nothing: you choose whether to invite them.
How do I find people who share my interests?
Choose your interests, then search for them: Serkle shows you people nearby who have them too, starting with those you have friends in common with.
I feel lonely. Can Serkle help?
Yes, that’s what it’s for. Choose what you love, and Serkle shows you the people near you who love it too, starting with those you have friends in common with. You write, then you meet for real.
How do I make friends in a new city?
Add your city and your interests: you see right away who around you loves the same things, and who already knows someone you know. Handy after a move, as an expat or when you start university.
Is it a dating app?
No. Serkle is for staying close to your people and meeting people who share your interests, for friendship. No swiping, no rating profiles.
How much does it cost?
Serkle is free, with no limit on contacts. Serkle+ costs $24 a year, or $16 for students.
How old do I need to be?
15. Accounts aged 15 to 17 get extra protection: an adult can't find them in search, or write to them unless you've both added each other.
Where is my data?
In the European Union. It is never sold, and you can export it or delete your account at any time from the settings.
Why "connect your people."?
It's our signature: Serkle helps you stay close to your people, then meet them for real.
